No materr what part of the U.S. you're in, the first snow of the year is always a shock.

Winter is i-cumin in,
Lhude sing goddamn!
Raineth drop and staineth slop,
And how the wind doth ram.
Sing goddamn!
Skiddeth bus and sloppeth us,
An ague hath my ham.
Sing goddamn!
Freezeth river, turneth liver,
Damn you, sing goddamn!
Goddamn you, tis why I am goddamn
So gainst the winter's balm.
Sing goddamn, sing goddamn, DAMN!

I agree with Pepek! :)

Love the shots - with your new camera? Snow in Colorado - somehow it just sounds right - like 'Warm woollen mittens and snow on eyelashes'!!!

Gorgeous pictures....this is coming from someone who doesn't live where there are 4 seasons, so I guess it looks glorious to me because I don't have to shovel the snow or suffer the cold.

Yeow! Makes me glad I'm in California. Brrr.

Wonderful photos Wendy.

My brother lives in Buffalo--slammed with snow after days of 70 degree weather. The first snow hit trees still covered with green leaves and came amid a flurry of lightning and thunder.

Wow! So much snow already - and here we are in Seville still wearing summer clothes. Sigh. I love snow and your photos are beautiful.
